Technology provides an unprecedented ability for effective differentiation of classroom learning experiences; however, no apps or tools (even the best ones) can take the place of the essential role of the teacher in the differentiation process. Come to this session to share, discuss, and learn not only some cool tools, but concrete ways in which to use the tools in ways that support differentiation.

Session Format: Facilitation - participant driven with guidance from the facilitator.

Plot Your Learning with Google MyMaps - Room: H210
Limited Capacity filling up

Google My Maps allows users to build, share, and publish custom maps. Learn to use this Drive based app with students, building context and background knowledge across all content areas. Plot locations from fiction and non-fiction texts or build a tour of a location. Build collaborative maps between students, classes, and schools, importing data such as locations, place names, or latitude and longitude. Participants will build a map, learning the tools in this hands-on session.
